Born in Cleveland, Ohio. May 8, 1944.
First formal classes in art at The Cleveland Academy of Design and The Cleveland
Institute of Art. 1961-62.
Majored in painting at Ohio State University. 1962-65.
Private study of both painting and sculpture in NYC while working at The Museum of Modern Art, Department of Drawings and Prints. 1965-70.
Exhibitions Coordinator for The Hopkins Center Galleries at Dartmouth College
(now The Hood Museum) 1971-72.
Exhibition of sculpture at the Herman Miller Showrooms in NYC. 1971.
Sculpture represented by The Art Lending Service of The Museum of Modern Art
In NYC. 1970-79.
Owner of design firm in Windsor, Vermont. 1972-86. Extended series of sculpture.
Return to painting 1982.
First paintings using small drawings for projection onto much larger canvases in
1987. Additional experiments using this technique. 1987-95.
Studio in Miami 1996. Over 500 drawings including additional work on ‘Manhattan
Jazz’. Also ‘Endless Line’ and a series entitled ‘Dance’.
Return to New York City end of 1996. First paper cut-outs.
Exhibition of paintings for Bergdorf Goodman in New York City. 1998.
Continuation of paper cut-outs. First of the ongoing ‘Twin Towers’ series started
prior to 9/11. Studies for public sculpture 2001.
